Office Visits

 Your First Visit

At the first visit to our office, information is gathered that will aid the orthodontist in assessing the need of treatment. This information includes a medical/dental history, clinical examination and brief consultation. Usually at this visit, the doctor will give a general idea regarding the type of treament needed, and our treatment coordinator will give you an estimate of cost, if treatment is recommended.
The final decision regarding treatment  will be made following evaluation of diagnostic records.

Records

Diagnostic records are generally made subsequent to the exam to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records include plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth,
 x-rays and wax plate.
Records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from one to two hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals 4 to 6 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 4 to 6 weeks in advance.

Payment & Office Policies

Cost

Dr.Tran believes that financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining the highest quality orthodontic treatment. She offers patients the ability to customize a payment plan that works within their budger. Most patients choose to finance their treatment in our office with OrthoFi, selecting their own monthly down payment amounts. OrthoFi also allows you to easliy manage your account online, including making online payments, wiewing invoices, and priting receipts.

Insurance

If you have insurance, as a courtesy,  we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay (see above). Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.  We are accept all PPO's insurances.
